4 DAYS 3 NIGHT TREK ATLAS & VALLEYS

Day 1: Marrakech to Imlil 65km 1h30mn drive

DAY1: DAY1: MARRAKECH –TAHNOUET- ASNI- IMLIL 1740M-REFUGE TOUBKAL 3207M (MARRAKECH TO IMLIL 65KM 1H30MN DRIVE)

Departure from Marrakech early morning 8am, towards the high Atlas Mountains via Tahnaouet (local market on Tuesdays), Valley Ghighaya, Moulay Brahim gorges, Asni (market on Saturdays) then between terraced fields of vegetables, fruit trees walnuts & cherries arrival to Imi Ghlad village, meet the team guide, muleteer then start the trek between fields then the national park forest of junipers to cross Tizi-n-Tacht 1998m, lunch next to a source with a view on the Azaden Valley, after going down deeply to the valley via Tahliwine, Id Issa, Tizizagharne (tea at berber family) and between terraced fields, before getting to Tiziane village. Overnight in Berber house or in tents outside the village. Aprrox. 5h walking.

DAY2: TIZIANE 1750M – TIZI ASAKA 2400M – ASAKA 2100M – DKNT 1800M

After Breakfast we leave this colourful valley through the river to the West passing by wild stables on altitude with few flock of goats and sheep’s before getting the junipers trees shade and few sources, crossing the pass Tizi Asaka 2400m, continuing next to the fenced forest ( to keep mouflons whiting certain area) nice walking down towards the forest to first walnut trees called Asaka sources, lunch, after noon continuing crossing few small hills up and down through wild stables with terraced fields of walnuts, almonds and vegetables, with a nice view on Dkint valley and the Eastern peaks of the high Atlas before arriving to Dknt village 1800m . Overnight at Berber house in the heart of the village or in tents outside the village. Approx. 6h walking.

DAY3: DKNT 1800M – TIZI- TAGDALTE 2700M- TIZI OUSSEM 1850M

After Breakfast leaving this this hidden beautiful and prehistoric village through the river, visiting traditional Berber mils, then between terraced fields and huge walnut trees, to stables of the village with a panoramic view on the valley before climbing up to treeless mountain to cross Tizi Tagdalte pass 2700m then going down the couloir with a dense forest to the first sources lunch, after noon continuing going down towards the mean valley Azaden, farther upper then the day1 and day2 to reach Tizi Ossem village 1850m. Overnight at Berber House or tents before the village. Approx. 6h30 walking.

DAY4: TIZI OUSSEM 1850M – TIZI MZIK 2640M – IMLIL 1740M- ASNI – MARRAKECH

After breakfast, visiting the village, meet locals, discover the lifestyle and starting going up towards the East passing by Tizi Oussem stables, overlooking ancient irrigated terraced fields through juniper forest up to the pass Tizi Mzik 2640m, nice view over Imlil valley and the high mountains in North Africa (Toubkal 4167m), then going down, lunch at the first walnut trees,, after noon will be a nice walking down via few villages, starting with Ashien, Targa Imoula, Taouerirte before finishing in Imlil centre 1740m. last tea with team at berber house. Transfert to Marrakech via Asni. Approx 5h walking. 1h30 drive to Marrakech.
